Updated: May 24, 2020
It's been a few days since we saw the first cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The new installment of the most famous assassin saga was presented in style, later giving way to the first teaser with authentic gameplay images, revealed during the Inside Xbox. According to the VGC media, Ubisoft announced last Thursday, during a financial conference, the success achieved with the premiere of the Valhalla cinematic trailer. In the words of the company's chief financial officer, Frédérick Duguet, "the announcement was spectacular and set new records in terms of Ubisoft game announcements."
The trailer reached a whopping 100 million views in its first 10 days, crowning itself as the most viewed video game ad in Ubisoft history. In addition, the accumulated views of official videos, along with the content created around the game, already reaches 200 million visits.
"Assassin's Creed Valhalla also remained at the top of the trending charts on Twitter for several days from April 30 in many countries, the first time for Ubisoft," added Duguet. "We have also seen a very significant increase in player engagement with Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins." Ubisoft has put all the meat on the grill with this new installment, also betting on giving back to the saga some classic elements, such as stealth, but without losing all the brutality that Viking fighting of that time means.
